just letting you know, in October I'm changing my location in the Philippines from Mindoro to Moalboal, Cebu. I'll be working with Savedra, a state-of-the-art 5-star instructor development center that does a lot of technical diver training and offers dive safaris covering all the best sites in the Visayas archipelago on a traditional Philippine bangka. In addition to the usual rich marine life of the Indo-Pacific, you can enjoy marvelous wall dives, beautiful Pescador Island just a few kilometers offshore, and of course the famous Moalboal sardine runs with literally millions of animals. There are frequent sightings of thresher sharks and dolphins as well as the occasional whale shark, and recently people even caught a pod of pilot whales on camera while coming back from a dive!
Conditions in Moalboal are great all year round, with water temperatures around 28-29 degrees Celsius even in winter. Currents are usually gentle, which combined with the steep drop-off from shore makes this place ideal for a wide range of training courses from beginner to advanced technical diving.
In a word, I love the place and am absolutely stoked about working there. Contact me to share in the fun – I can make all the arrangements from diving to airport pick-up (CEB) and accommodation. It doesn't get any easier and more relaxed. Looking forward!
